“Hoppy”, the wild Roadside Hawk that likes our lawn mower

One of the pleasures of living in the jungle is our close encounters with nature and the wildlife.  We want to introduce you to Hoppy, a friendly little Roadside Hawk.  Hoppy likes to fly and perch from tree to tree and watch us while we work around our yard.  He especially likes it when we use the lawn mower to cut our grass.  Sometimes Hoppy will sit for hours on our Internet antenna and look for worms after a rain.  When the grass is short he will find worms that come up for a quick breath of air.  Hoppy will fly down from his observation perch and manage to pull a large, fat worm from the ground.  Some of the larger worms will wrap around his legs and Hoppy will hop around while trying to shake them off.  This is why we named him Hoppy.  Sometimes we laugh until it…
